2014 had been a great year for the CCMP recipients.  As what we can see or read, there were three local churches planted this year contributed by Henry Borja Jr. in Catanduanes with his MTB Team (Misyonerong Taga-Bicol) and two local churches in Quezon which is the result of SLIM team’s challenge to Men’s Group of Quezon.  Bro. Jojo Carpena, SLIM’s present chairman shared to Bro. Rasty that elders and deacons of Quezon churches were challenged and encouraged to form a team in each cluster.  Inspired by Bro. William Falla’s life and legacy, the Men’s group of Quezon immediately found ways and places where to start Bible studies.  Two new churches started in Quezon were in Bani, San Narciso and in Tagkawayan.  Elders from Villabota and Gumaca churches help together in visiting and conducting Bible studies in Tagkawayan and churches in Mulanay and Villa Reyes in San Narciso work hand in hand (through the leadership of Bro. Julio Santiago, CCMP recipient in Mulanay) to bring the Gospel to the people of Brgy. Bani, San Narciso, Quezon.  Julio himself admits that his spirit was somehow inspired because of the diligence of his companions in sharing the Gospel to others.  Meanwhile, Henry Borja Jr. is very much thankful for the support of his co-CCMP recipients and the MTB group for helping him start a new church in Virac, Catanduanes.  He said the church has a plan of conducting another two-week evangelism in the area through the help of the MTB group.  Bro. Rasty also said that his missions class/team from MBS will be helping Bro. Henry by conducting a VBS in the place to be able to find more prospects for the Lord.  We are praying for the success of the said activity.  Henry is also looking for sponsors who can help the church in Catanduanes for their evangelism activity.

The 15 individual recipients of CCMP have also brought at least 186 souls for the Lord this year.  According to some recipients, there are still more souls ready to be baptized before the end of the year. The recipients who have won more souls for the Lord seem to be those who are able to train leaders or those who have a team to belong to that help them in their evangelism activities.  Meanwhile, the church planting teams have also a report of combined at least 47 souls brought to the Lord this year.  The newest additional church planting team in Southern Cagayan Valley, through the leadership of Bro. Gilbert Guillermo reports that they had more than 20 souls baptized in 2014 while SLIM had also 21 and BCM or Batangas church planting team had six baptisms in Calaca.  Bro. Gilbert of SOCAVA said there are more souls who are positive to be baptized before the end of the year.  Bro. Jojo of SLIM also reports that those 21 souls baptized are coming from the three churches which are also being supported by SLIM.  Sis. Tess Roldan said, Batangas is a very hard soil because Catholicism in the place is so strong.  But they never stop finding prospects for the Lord. She is also happy to report that at last, Calaca church has now a chapel building acquired through the help of the brethren.  Bro. Jess Lara, one of the leaders in Batangas also shared that he now has visited brethren in Tuy, Batangas to see the possibility of starting a new ministry.  They are very positive that next year, another church will start in Tuy, Batangas.

This year there were three Leadership seminars held in different places/churches where CCMP recipients are serving.  The church leaders and the recipients themselves were so happy about the seminars done in their area/church by the CCMP Advisory Committee.  (The CCMP Advisory committee is composed of Bros. Ambrose Rodriguez, Leonidez Chavarria, Mel Maldupana, Dan Sulit and Rasty Sanoy.) The seminar done in Batangas last February of 2014 was well attended.  Some comments from those who attended were as follow: “very refreshing”, “delicious and very applicable”, “I’ve learned about the proper handling of church finances, thanks for this seminar!”  The Advisory Committee then was so happy to receive such comments and was more encouraged to do it continuously.  The next seminar was held in Sto. Nino church of Christ and was attended by church leaders in Pampanga and Bulacan.  They were as well blessed and challenged to live a good life and be a good example to the brethren and to the people around them.  Some brethren also requested that churches or the brethren should be taught and be reminded again about tithes and offering.  Last November, it was also the leaders of Quezon who benefited from the seminar which was hosted by Lucena City church. The SLIM team through Bro. Jojo Carpena requested that it should be done yearly to continue challenge and inspire the leaders get involved in mission’s ministry of the church.  On March 2015, Bro. Jojo invited Bro. Rasty to speak about missions to the leaders of Quezon churches of Christ.

CCMP recipients also believe that reaching out children does not only reach out children, but it is also one way to find prospects to be won for the Lord.  CCMP recipients like Julio Santiago, Bisoy Alfante, Rico Puno, Bernard Dayag, Tirso Latade, JR Bernardo and others successfully held VBS in the churches they are serving reaching out more than 500 children.
